Jason Dennie has played and listened to music for most of his life. He is primarily known as a ‘solo acoustic guitarist’. This is the best way to describe his music, as it isn’t all fingerstyle guitar, or flatpicking…it isn’t all folk (as we know it to be), and uses ideas that reach out into jazz, blues, bluegrass, celtic, rock & roll, and country. Dennie combines all these influences to create a unique and energetic voice on acoustic guitar.
Mr. Dennie is a highly regarded recording and competitive guitarist. His recordings have garnered him three consecutive Cammy Awards for Best folk/bluegrass instrumentalist each year from 1997 to 1999. He has won the Gamble Rogers Fingerstyle championship in St. Augustine, Florida, and also was the second place winner at the 2011 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition.
Jason travels and performs all over the United States and resides in Royal Oak, Michigan.
