Jennifer Tibben serves as the choir director at Damonte Ranch High School, the district’s only Performing Arts Center, conducting 4 choirs and teaching AP Music Theory. In the Reno community, she is conductor of the Reno Philharmonic Chorus the Artistic Director of Bella Voce, a select community women’s choral ensemble and she currently serves as conductor of the choir at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She received her MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada, Reno in May 1997. She received her BA from Gustavus Adolphus College, May 1992, with majors in music and biology.
Jennifer has sung opera roles with UNR Lyric Opera, as well as with Nevada Opera. She has also served as soloist with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Baroque Ensemble and with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. Jennifer serves as the American Choral Directors Association Western Division Women’s choir Repertoire and Standards chair, and is an active member of both ACDA and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. In the summer of 2002, she was chosen to be one of twelve interns for the NATS Summer Intern Program, where she studied with Costanza Cuccaro. She lives in Reno with her partner, Sharon, and their six children, Daniel (22), Isaac (20), Jonathan (18), Grace (17), Nathan (16) and Noah (15).
